Oak straight flight staircases

A joinery company on Arran required two short, straight flight stairs for a building project. The staircases are crafted in oak and will have a solid glass balustrade. To allow the fitting of the glass balustrade we had to run a groove in the handrails, newel posts and the baserails.

Top and bottom winder stair in pine

An Ayrshire based builder required this top and bottom winder staircase. The stringers, treads and newel posts were crafted using pine with mdf for the risers. Using this mix of material keeps the costs down and as the stair is getting carpeted will not affect the end look of the staircase.

This is pine stair with pine veneered mdf risers built for Wm Cumming and Son, Ayr. It has a left and right hand curtail entry step which adds character and also helps support/strengthen the bottom newel posts.
